The PEO Grand River Chapter 30-by-30 committee is hosting a kick-off event to bring together aspiring and accomplished engineers at various stages of their careers to share their journeys in the field. Speakers will share their motivations and challenges they faced while becoming a professional engineer and maintaining a P.Eng. license.

DATE: May 22, 2019

TIME: 6:30 pm – 8:45 pm

LOCATION: Heuther Hotel, 59 King St N, Waterloo, ON

We encourage both women and men of all career levels to join us. We know that real change happens when we work together to accomplish our objectives.

PEO is committed to supporting Engineers Canada in its efforts to increase the representation of women within the engineering field through its 30-by-30 initiative. This initiative has the goal of raising the percentage of newly licensed engineers who are women to 30 percent by the year 2030. In 2018, only 18 percent of newly licensed engineers in Ontario were women.

The PEO Grand River Chapter 30-by-30 Committee is working to implement this initiative locally through networking events and information sessions and will address the underrepresentation of women licensed in the profession.

For more information on the 30-by-30 initiative, visit Engineers Canada’s website.
