As a global leader in self-regulation, PEO relies heavily on its volunteers. More than 1000 professional engineers, engineering interns and non-engineers volunteer their time each year on behalf of the association through participation in governance and operations.

The Grand River PEO Chapter is operated entirely by volunteers who are involved in many different activities including:

  • Chapter communications: email communications, blog posts, social media, event broadcasting
  • Operations: ensure Chapter activities are aligned with PEO’s essential purposes. Oversees the smooth operation of Chapter activities
  • Education: Works with elementary, high school, and university students to promote the engineering profession. And plan engineering-related education events for chapter members
  • Events: Plans, and implements technical tours & seminars for chapter members & organizes monthly Chapter Board meetings.
